This past week has been a refreshing one! I (Shelli) and the kids flew to Orlando to visit with my parents for the week. We slept a lot, swam even more, and ate some amazing food! After adjusting to the new culture and home in Haiti it was very recharging to get back into a familiar culture and routine. I feel so recharged now and ready to go!

The girls LOVE to swim! They spent 7 hours straight in the pool one day!
We also wanted to share our new home with you all :) After living in a tent for 3 1/2 months we were beyond excited to move into out 600 sq ft house. And we have our own bathroom now! There are 3 bedrooms, a family room, and two bathrooms all in that 600sq ft. Now all I need is an IKEA gift card :)
And while I have been in Florida, we have received a very generous donation of a generator to run our new facilities from Saddleback Church so we now have electricity (which means air conditioning and running water in our house!)!!! Here are some pics of our new digs:
Our house :) One door goes into our family room and the other into our bedroom.
Our "kitchenette" in the family room.

I am so excited for you guys to finally have some walls around you! What a great change to come back to.
ReplyDeleteShelli, so glad you were able to recharge those batteries, I'm sure the kids needed it as well. The house is lovely, hopefully being in a home will provide your family some sense of contentment. The photos of Sitota are too cute, I'd like to be his agent, he needs to be in Gap ads!! Looking forward to seeing you all next May back in Indiana. Love to all, patty
ReplyDeleteGreat news! And even greater news about the donated generator!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome new digs guys! We can't wait to come in August.
