5 reasons I suck at blogging
I am going to blog while we are in Haiti so you all can see what we are up to and so we have a record of sorts about our year in Haiti. But, I have said it before and I will say it again... I suck at blogging. I don't really enjoy it. Maybe, like my dog, I will learn to love it over time? Who knows. But I do feel like it is something I need to do. So, here are 5 reasons I suck at blogging. Just to throw them out there so you all are forewarned not to expect too much.
1. I suck at spelling. If spell check doesn't catch it... I won't. This is a little concerning since I am responsible for the teaching of my 2nd grader over the next year. (Although I am pretty sure I just spelled all the words in those 2 sentences correctly... Go me!)
2. I'm not an accomplished writer. Although, not to brag, but I did write for my middle school newspaper a few years back. In college the only things I wrote were drug abstracts and patient care plans. Not exactly pulitzer prize material. Since college I pretty much only write notes to bus drivers and teachers. And texts/emails... but we all know those are just adding to to the decline of the English language. ROTFL!
3. I'm busy. Really, I am. I'm not just saying that.
4. I don't really like blogging. I have never had a journal...well unless you count the cool purple and pink unicorn one I had when I was like seven. I process things pretty quickly and don't feel the need to write my thoughts down.
5. I blank out on certain words sometimes. Seriously, sometimes there is a word in my head and I just can't think of it. Does that happen to anyone else?
I was going to do ten reasons, but I couldn't even come up with 5 more...

I personally think you're a great blogger/writer. I can just imagine you saying the things you're writing which is really the point - it feels like you're talking to me.
ReplyDeleteI would come up with five reasons what you're going to be a fantastic blogger but I'm just not that creative (and just slightly lazy).
Love you!!
I remember that unicorn journal! Not that I read it or anything when you weren't home:)
