Dessert Night

Tuesday will be our first of three planned dessert nights! We plan to hang out with friends and supporters and eat some yummy food. This night will give us the opportunity to present how we came to the decision of moving our family of five to Haiti for the year as well as lay out the mission and overview of Nehemiah Vision Ministries and also to provide avenues for those wishing to support us further.

Our church small group/bible study group/community group (whatever it is Grace Community Church is officially calling them these days) is taking care of all the planning details for us and are making some really yummy desserts (think homemade apple crisp with homemade cinnamon ice cream, and homemade cookies)! Just one of the MANY ways our small group is awesome!

This past week I have come to realize that we couldn't make this move without TONS of support. Support, first and foremost, from God. He is in this thing with us and that makes ALL the difference. We also need the support of our close community of friends and church family. And lets not forget our biological family. People are helping us with fundraising, finding renters, collecting our mail, and about a hundred other details. I have really been amazed at how supportive everyone has been. We couldn't do it without you! So if you are one of these wonderful people helping us out, consider this a BIG GIGANTIC THANK YOU!
