ESL Class Graduation

Today was the first E.S.L. class graduation. After 10 weeks of study and a final exam, each student received a laminated certificate while we celebrated with music, cake, candy, and punch. I am so impressed with how far the students have advanced over the past 10 weeks and am confident they will become fluent in no time. Not only did they learn the English language, but it was evident from the time spent at the graduation celebration that they had fun! They developed friendships and seemed to really enjoy learning. Learning English opens up many opportunities, especially in employment, for Haitians.

Thanks to the hard work of Amy Shultz, Chris Bosma, and Jim Warner for all their hard work in making the first of many E.S.L. classes successful.

Having fun in class

Party time!
